Singapore International School (SIS) Mumbai is a leading co-educational school in the centre of India’s vibrant financial capital, providing students both Indian and overseas with an experience of international curricula. Opened as the only international day and boarding school within the city limits of Mumbai, SIS was founded with the aim of creating a rich environment for learning and development for students on an 8-10 acre green campus, devoted to academic achievement, holistic development, and global citizenship.
With a student population representing over 26 nationalities, SIS provides the chance for students to embrace a multicultural experience and prepare students for an interconnected world. In conjunction with the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge International Examinations, SIS has adopted the renowned educational model from Singapore to provide an educational experience that emphasises critical thinking, innovation, and values based on learning.
SIS engages families with children in 2025 and beyond who are looking for a learning experience with a full spectrum of opportunity, based on both a strong academic program and co-curricular opportunity.
Established in 2006 under the United Educare Foundation by Nilesh Hada, Singapore International School Mumbai was devised as a global institute providing education of an International Standard and benchmarked to the World Class levels of Singapore. Our Philosophy is focused on each child as an individual – create a Global Citizen who is emotionally developed and achieves their academic potential with a strong foundation in Asian Values and Indian Ethos.
As the first International school in Mumbai, integrating Singapore’s Math and Science curriculum with an IB program – SIS has built a vibrant community focused on inquiry based learning and cultural exchange. SIS is also unique as it offers Day and Boarding, which is not offered by any other school in Mumbai. Over the years SIS has obtained accreditation through IB in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) and Cambridge IGCSE, which has allowed us to track our education program through valid and trustworthy measures of recognition and hospitalization.
Together with a close student teacher ratio of 5:1, SIS offers an education that is highly personalized and thoroughly prepares our students for top universities worldwide.
Away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai on National Highway No. 8 in Dahisar East, near to Thakur Mall and the Dahisar Toll Post, is SIS Mumbai, set on an expansive 8-10 acres of green campus which offers a calm and peaceful environment amongst nature. These green and tree shaded facilities are the only such facilities within the perimeter of Mumbai, maximizing outdoor spaces for both play and learning.
School facilities include well-equipped classrooms for art, music, drama and film; dedicated modern science and computer laboratories; an up-to-date library; and multimedia facilities. Sports facilities include outdoor courts, playing fields, swimming pool, and indoor facilities for various games. The campus also offers boarding facilities, with options for term boarding, weekly boarding, monthly boarding and day boarding, with residential life programs to support a holistic growth process.
The safety of the campus is enhanced with the use of CCTV monitoring, and the environmentally friendly campus promotes sustainable practices. The design and layout of the campus is purposeful in the idea that students can also learn outdoors, in gardens and green spaces, alongside their indoor learning activities and modern education.
SIS Mumbai offers an academic program that is an innovative blend of Singapore’s robust education model and international standards.
