CIS offers modern, well-designed facilities catered to holistic development that combine academic, residential and recreational facilities. The boarding program is divided into separate air-conditioned wings for males and females, with either shared or private accommodation, lounges with cinema, table tennis, foosball, pool tables, and pantries for light meals.
The cafeteria is a shared area for meals, which offers a distance variety of Eastern, Western and vegetarian cuisines with an open-style kitchen. The tuck shop is student-run, provides opportunity for independence from the meal program. Athletic facilities include a 25-meter pool, fitness center with muscular weight room and lockers, turf soccer field, courts for basketball and badminton and a yoga/mediation room.
The in-school support system includes music rooms, induction of libraries and the Odeum for art displays and events. The facilities also include available medical rooms, art/craft studios, and transport for boarding students that are GPS trackable. At CIS, we use a student-centred admissions approach based on the student’s potential and growth, and a strong fit within community.
• Inquiry and Application: Submit the online inquiry form to create an admissions account, complete and submit the application, and upload required initial documents. Each child’s application requires a non-refundable $200 application fee.
• School Visit: Book a tour of the school for 1.5-2 hours (from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 3 PM), with two days notice; parents should bring the student’s report cards for the last two years. Virtual visit options are available for applicants who are out of area.
• Assessment: Kindergarten-Grade 2: Shadow days or observations; Grades 3-11: Entrance tests in English and Math (onsite or proctored remotely for long distances); decisions sent in two weeks.
• Offer and Enrolment: Once accepted, a letter will be sent; a registration fee of $2,000 will be paid; final documents and tuition for the first term must be submitted before the start of the term.
• Kindergarten: Readiness according to age, based on appropriate readiness per guidelines; able to defer entrance for a few weeks after a child has started, if needed.
• Grades 1-8: Must have strong academic history; may observe or have a basic testing.
• Grades 9-10 (IGCSE): Must provide reports from the last two years; English and Math testing is done; minimum of 85% aggregate is preferred for scholarships.
• Grades 11-12 (IBDP): Must have/not have a minimum of 14 credits (2 credits each from the last schooling – English, Math, Science, Humanities, Arts/Tech, PE); require a minimum of 80% aggregate; testing and interviews. IGCSE is open to Indian and International students, siblings will be prioritised.
• Academic report cards from the last two years (showing growth).
• Birth certificate and/or passport (for age/ID verification).
• School transcripts, school transfer certificate (if applicable).
• 2 ID proofs of parent (Aadhaar/Passport/Other) and proof of residence.
• Medical fitness certificate and vaccination records.
• Two passport size pictures of child and 2 parent pictures.
CIS fees are based on the premium international education, facilities, and boarding options, and are payable in instalments. Details for the 2025-26 school year will be confirmed via admissions, as they are assessed annually.

CIS offers merit-based scholarships to Indian nationals for students entering into Grade 9 (IGCSE) or Grade 11 (IBDP) for the 2025-26 school year. Scholarships may cover, in full, up to 100% tuition for merit based scholarships.
Eligibility requires minimum averages of 80-85% in prior academics, and leadership, arts or athletics experience, or community service; assessed by (1) testing within application process, (2) interview, and (3) essay. Applications are currently open; 2025 graduates received on average around US$3M in total uncertainty merit aid globally.
Sports at CIS foster excitement, collaboration, and a love for being active through a wonderful sports program, we are a founding member of the Bangalore Activities and Athletics School Conference (BAASC) and a proud supporter of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA).
