Mayo College Ajmer is a prestigious boys’ boarding school located in Ajmer, Rajasthan. In 1875, Richard Bourke, 6th Earl of Mayo, who was Viceroy of India from 1869 to 1872, established it. As a result, it is among the oldest public residential institutions in India. The 17th principal of the school, Lt. Gen. (Retd) Surendra Kulkarni, took over in January 2015.

Every year during the third week of November, the Common Aptitude Analysis for admission to Mayo College is held at several locations around India.  As a result, it can also be scheduled remotely via the Indian Embassy there.

Mayo College Admission Process

• The Common Aptitude Analysis for Mayo College admission is conducted annually in the third week of November at various sites in India.

• The final word in admissions is held by the Education Committee, which is made up of the Mayo College Director and additional Board of Directors members.
•  Those that fit the criteria are required to participate in an encounter during the months of December, January, or February.  Performance on the aptitude analysis determines the shape of the merit list.  Admissions are decided by combining the results of the aptitude analysis and the interaction.  The arrival of new residents occurs in April.
•  Candidates from abroad are welcome to attend the interaction after notifying the school of their availability.  If they are unable to attend on the designated day, their wards may enrol in the school in July of the subsequent year.
•  Within 10 days, parents must confirm that they accept the admission.

•  If the offer is accepted and subsequently turned down, it will be lost.  By July of the same year, students must have been promoted to the admissions class they are enrolling in and present a Transfer Certificate.
•  A Transfer Certificate of Promotion from the Previous Class must be presented if a student is required to enrol on a certain day without taking the final exam.
